i was trying to merge two photos in photoshop , why after resizing did my photo go back to the original size?
when i pasted it onto the first photo ?
When you copy and paste, the resolution of the pasted image will always be the original resolution.
It's not a problem, highlight that layer and call up the Transform Tool (Ctrl + T, Cmd + T on a Mac), hold down the shift key to keep aspect ration and drag any corner 'anchor point' the the size you want.
If you can't see the Transform Tools box because it's too big, Ctrl + 0 (the number zero) will bring the all the box back on screen.
